I was glad to complete my Garmin-Asus Live-Navigation Challenge. Waiting for the SMS or email is a bit of pain. It brings back memory of my army days when I was activated to go back. Finally, at 1:03 pm, I received the SMS and that marks the start of the Garmin-Asus Live-Navigation Challenge.<\/p>\n

It was raining heavily. I immediately Google “Banda Street Community Centre” and was immediately direct to Kreta Ayer Community Centre. So, I set my Garmin-Asus G60 Smartphone to Kreta Ayer CC. BTW, I did a search at POI with Kreta Ayer to get to the direction.<\/p>\n

Finally, I reached the destination. It was actually quite empty. While entering, I saw one guy running towards his car with a blue card. I finally realized that he was one of the contestants. No wonder he stared at me when I went in. I am one of his competitor \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n

My first station was to use the Garmin-Asus Smartphone to check out a place. I picked out a question from a box.<\/p>\n

My question was “Where is the nearest church from Plaza Singapura”. I did a search at POI to find Plaza Singapore and can immediately identify the icon of the church on the G60 Smartphone screen.<\/p>\n

My next clue.<\/p>\n

Again, I relied on Google to provide me an answer. It was the MINT Museum of Toys. The address is just next to Raffles Hotel. I rushed in my car and upon reaching, there were so many cars already. I did an illegal parking and went ahead to my next challenge. It was at the third floor. Along the staircase, saw these interesting boxes. Stopped to take some pics.<\/p>\n

And upon reaching third floor, I have to take some pictures of these cute bears.<\/p>\n

Ok, back to the challenge. I was supposed to fix a jig saw puzzle in 5 minutes. If not, I have to redo again. First attempt failed. Almost made it. So, tried the second time, succeeded! I thought that is the end of challenge 2 but was asked another MCQ (Multiple Choice Question). Got the correct answer and my next clue.<\/p>\n

“A popular place for wedding couples … near the Alkaff Mansion”.<\/p>\n

So, I set my GPS to Alkaff Mansion. When I reached Telok Blangah Hill, I actually circled twice. Could not find the Live-Navigation sign. Decided to park my car at the foot of the hill and did an uphill task to reach the top. Yes! they were hiding at the top.<\/p>\n

I was to do a simple “Connect the Dots” exercise. I was supposed to join the icons to the matching words. It was easy. Completed my task and got my next clue.<\/p>\n

“… former Singapore Traffic Police Headquarters..”<\/p>\n

That is of course the RED DOT MUSEUM.<\/p>\n

BTW, the downhill…<\/p>\n

To the main road.<\/p>\n

While leaving, saw a couple walking towards my direction. They were staring at me as they were also the contestants. Got into my car and zoomed down to Red Dot Museum.<\/p>\n

They are waiting…<\/p>\n

I am supposed to draw a question from the box.<\/p>\n

My question was easy, asking me if the Garmin-Asus Smartphones can show in portrait or landscape. The answer is both. My next and final clue, “Forbidden Hill”.<\/p>\n

Googled the words and it showed Fort Canning. It was still drizzling. There were signs everywhere to hint you where the location might be.<\/p>\n

And yes! That is the last stop. As we were the bloggers for this challenge, we were not entitled to the prizes. However, we were given some token of appreciation by Garmin-Asus for having fun \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n
