Singapore launches an EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Card that can be used in Singapore and Malaysia. This is very good news for people who travel to Malaysia frequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Card is a dual-currency cross-border contactless smart card designed primarily for Singapore motorists travelling to Malaysia.<\/p>

Singaporean motorists can use the card for contactless payment of selected carpark fees, Electronic Road Pricin (ERP) and checkpoint toll charges in Singapore. In Malaysia, this card can be used to pay for highway tolls, checkpoint toll charges, parking fees, bus fare, MRT fees as well as retial and dining acceptance points.<\/p>

This is possible as the card securely holds both the EZ-Link purse in SGD and Touch ‘n Go purse in MYR – a result of a collaboration between EZ-Link Pte Ltd and Touch ‘n Go Sdn. Bhd, creating a seamless experience for cardholders.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In short, it is a card with two separate electronic wallets holding different currencies. I think this is really useful for motorists traveling between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card has been released on 17th<\/sup> August at EZ-Link Store on the Lazada Singapore<\/a> platform (at S$7 each) in limited quantity with no value in either electronic wallet. As of the last check, the card is already sold out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be launched at selected 7-Eleven stores in Singapore at S$10 (inclusive of S$3 in the EZ-Link purse) in September 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can top up the card at the usual channel in Singapore (for EZ-Link) and in Malaysia (for Touch ‘n Go).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) schemes<\/a> in place, this card will definitely be useful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do note that you must use the Touch ‘n Go purse at least once a year to avoid it being deactivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
