If you are holding on to the Huawei latest phone, the HUAWEI Mate30<\/a> Series, chances are that you might be able to get updated to the latest software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, you need to know where to get the update. Check if you have this app, “Support” on your phone. If you don’t have, download it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just for your information, previously, this app is known as “HiCare”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you enter the app, select “More”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, select “Update”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will get to this screen. Click on “Check for Updates”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If yours is the latest version. It will be displayed as shown below. If not, follow the instruction to update it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the upgrade, you might be getting 10.0.0.203. My Mate30 Pro is a review unit, so the base firmware might be region-sensitive and different from Singapore version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BTW, some of you might be thinking that there is an easier way to update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Go to “Settings”<\/li>
  • Click on “System & Updates”<\/li>
  • Go to “Software update”<\/li>
  • Click on “Check for Updates”<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    You are correct. However, from my experiences, you may not get the prompt for the latest firmware version. I am not sure why. If you want the latest update, follow my instructions as described above..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
