Tomorrow (26th<\/sup> December 2019) is a special day for astronomy enthusiasts because Singapore is going to witness the rare “Ring of Fire” Annular Solar Eclipse. Singapore will be in total darkness for 2 minutes in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to timeanddate<\/a>, the Solar Eclipse starts from 11am. And from 1323hrs (or 1:23pm), Singapore will enjoy 2 minutes of darkness when the Sun, the moon and Earth form a straight line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore is along the narrow strip on the Earth’s surface where we can view this phenomenon event. If you missed it tomorrow, you will have to wait until 2063 for it to happen here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
