Important Notice For Batteries In Certain MacBook Pro Units<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Voluntary Recall and Replacement Program\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUPERTINO, California \u2014\u00a0June 20, 2019 <\/strong>\u2014\u00a0Apple\u00ae today announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro\u00ae units which contain a\u00a0battery that may overheat and pose a safety risk. The units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017 and can be identified by\u00a0their product serial number.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recall does not affect any other 15-inch MacBook Pro units or other Mac\u00ae notebooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because customer safety is a top priority, Apple is asking customers to stop using affected 15-inch MacBook Pro units. Customers should visit apple.com\/sg\/support\/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall<\/a>\u00a0for details on product eligibility and how to have a battery replaced, free of charge.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To confirm which model you have, choose About This Mac from the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of your screen. If you have “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015),\u201d enter your computer’s serial number on the programme page to see if it is eligible for a battery replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
