Huawei has a few successes these few weeks. First, the successful launch of the nova 3i at Waterway Point which saw 1,000 handsets sold in an hour. Second, Huawei rises to become the 2nd largest smartphone vendor in the World, beating Apple (3rd place). This is a major news as Huawei handsets are not being sold in the US.<\/p>\n

HUAWEI nova 3i Launch at Waterway Point<\/h2>\n

I did not expect the Huawei launch at Waterway Point to be so crowded. Basically, there are queues everywhere. And I heard that the first person in the queue was there around past midnight (and the launch time is 11 am). This person is really a fan of Huawei. I think the reason for such a successful launch is the built quality, specs and price range of the nova 3i (S$398). Of course, the freebie (G-SHOCK worth S$199) helps too.<\/p>\n

From my understanding, the freebie was distributed out within half an\u00a0hour after the launch and there are still many people waiting in the queue. So, I guess the\u00a0nova 3i is still the main draw.<\/p>\n

I was there just in time to catch Boon Hui Lu\u00a0\u6587\u6167\u5982<\/a>\u00a0on stage where she sang and took pictures with her fans.<\/p>\n

And Yasmine Cheng and John Klass from Class 95 were there too.<\/p>\n

At the launch area, there were different zones. For example, in the AI Photography zone, some toys were placed there for you to try out the AI Camera.<\/p>\n

I think the Gaming Zone is the most crowded. It attracted the adults and children. With Huawei GPU Turbo<\/a>\u00a0that enhances the gaming experience, I guess that is the reason why the gaming area is so popular.<\/p>\n
