Looking at the specs, I think the battery is a little too small (3,000mAh) for such a large screen. And they need to rethink the naming convention of the phone, LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup>\u00a0is not easy to type.<\/p>\n

SINGAPORE, May 22, 2018 \u2014 <\/strong>LG Electronics (LG) today introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G7+ ThinQ<\/sup>, which combines artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, super bright display and surround sound features into one. Boasting the latest Qualcomm\u00ae<\/sup> Snapdragon™ 845 Mobile Platform, it offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage to run demanding tasks and apps with ease. The polished metal rim gives the smartphone a premium and sleek look, complemented by Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back for enhanced durability.<\/p>\n

Retailing at S$1,198 and available from June 2 at M1, Singtel, StarHub and other LG authorized retailers, the LG G7+ ThinQ<\/sup> will come in New Platinum Gray, New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue. Camera with Enhanced AI Capabilities <\/strong><\/p>\n

The LG G7+ ThinQ<\/sup> comes with an 8MP front camera and 16MP rear camera in both standard and Super Wide Angle configurations. The AI features of LG\u2019s smartphone cameras have also been enhanced since they were first introduced in the LG V30S+ThinQ<\/sup>. The AI CAM offers 19 shooting modes, an increase from its previous 8, for even more intelligence-optimized shots. Users can improve their photos further by selecting from three other effect options for one that truly suits their tastes.<\/p>\n

When it comes to low light photography on the LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup>, its new Super Bright Camera brightens images up to four times more than typical photos shot in dim light. Through the combination of pixel binning and software processing, the AI algorithm adjusts the camera settings automatically when shooting in low light.<\/p>\n

LG has also added new features that make photography on the LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup> even more enjoyable than ever. Live Photo mode records one second before and after the shutter is pressed for snippets of unexpected moments or expressions that would normally be missed. Stickers uses face recognition to generate fun 2D and 3D overlays such as sunglasses and headbands that can be viewed directly on the display.<\/p>\n

New to the G series, Portrait Mode generates professional looking shots with out-of-focus backgrounds. This bokeh effect can be generated using either the standard or Super Wide Angle lens, giving shutterbugs even more creative options.<\/p>\n

Google Lens and Google Assistant Heighten Convenience for Users<\/strong><\/p>\n

LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup>\u00a0 is one of the first devices to feature the upcoming Google Lens feature, which offers a new way to search for information using the latest in AI and computer vision. Available inside Google Assistant and Google Photos, it can deliver more information on objects such as landmarks, plants, animals, books as well as identify text. Users can also visit websites, add a business card to contacts, add events to the calendar or look up an item on a restaurant menu.<\/p>\n

Located just below the volume is a button that launches the LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup> \u2019s AI functions. A single tap of this button will launch the Google Assistant while two quick taps will launch Google Lens, a first on any phone. Users can also hold down the button to start talking to the Google Assistant.<\/p>\n

With Super Far Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) and the smartphone\u2019s highly sensitive microphone, Google Assistant is able to recognize voice commands up to five meters away. The smartphone\u2019s sophisticated Voice AI technology utilizes two integrated microphones to filter out ambient noise to recognize the user\u2019s voice. When paired with the smartphone\u2019s Boombox Speaker feature, SFFVR turns the smartphone into a home AI speaker, and can respond to voice commands from across the living or kitchen.<\/p>\n

Super Bright Display for Sharp, Crisp Imagery \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup> features a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) display with a 19.5:9 FullVision screen ratio, and a bottom bezel which is almost 50 percent slimmer than the LG G6. Powered by LG\u2019s new LCD technology, Super Bright Display, the LG G7+ ThinQ<\/sup> can be viewed easily under direct sunlight with a brightness up to an industry-leading 1,000 nit, displaying 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.<\/p>\n

And depending on the type of content, the display can be set to six different viewing modes: Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game and Expert. For instance in Auto mode, the phone automatically analyzes the content of games or photos and optimizes the display and power consumption. The user can finetune the image even further by adjusting the screen temperature and RGB levels individually.<\/p>\n

The LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup>\u2019s New Second Screen gives users flexible options when it comes to setting up the display to fit their taste and style. The display can be fully expanded for a bezel-less look, or with a notification bar that allows users to change the color for personalization.<\/p>\n

An Audio Experience Characterized by Double Bass and Virtual 3D Sound <\/strong><\/p>\n

Available for the first time in the G series, LG G7+ThinQ <\/sup>features Boombox Speaker that utilizes the internal space of the smartphone as a resonance chamber to deliver double the bass compared to conventional smartphones. The result is a powerful \u201cboombox\u201d sound without the need for external speakers. When placed on a solid surface such as a table or in a box, the smartphone utilizes its resonance chamber as a woofer to amplify the bass effect even more.<\/p>\n

The LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup> is also the first smartphone to offer DTS:X, capable of delivering virtual 3D sound for all content up to 7.1 channel audio with earphones. Carrying on the heritage of LG\u2019s focus for great smartphone sounds, the LG G7+ThinQ<\/sup> retains the popular Hi-Fi Quad DAC feature for an incredibly rich audio experience, especially when paired with high-impedance earphones.<\/p>\n
