Now, Apple has issued a message to the iPhone users about it and addresses their concerns. Here is an excerpt from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone-battery-and-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">To address our customers\u2019 concerns, to recognize their loyalty and to regain the trust of anyone who may have doubted Apple\u2019s intentions, we\u2019ve decided to take the following\u00a0steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Apple is reducing the price of an out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by $50 \u2014 from $79 to $29 \u2014 for anyone with an iPhone\u00a06 or later whose battery needs to be replaced, starting in late January and available worldwide through December 2018. Details will be provided soon on\u00a0<a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apple.com<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Early in 2018, we will issue an iOS software update with new features that give users more visibility into the health of their iPhone\u2019s battery, so they can see for themselves if its condition is affecting\u00a0performance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966;\">As always, our team is working on ways to make the user experience even better, including improving how we manage performance and avoid unexpected shutdowns as batteries\u00a0age.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Will this help? I am not so sure now since these recent years, their products are similar and no technology breakthrough unlike the first few versions of iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think that consumers will be happy that they have reduced the price of the battery\u00a0replacement?
