Check out the Press Release for more information.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Press Release<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 4 in India from INR 9,999<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Redmi Note 4, powered by Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon 625 processor, makes its world debut\u00a0in India<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>NEW DELHI, 19 January 2017<\/strong> \u2014 Leading smartphone company Xiaomi launched Redmi\u00a0Note 4 powered by the Qualcomm\u00ae Snapdragon\u2122 625 processor today, which is making\u00a0its world debut in India, ahead of all other markets.<\/p>\n<p>Starting from INR 9,999, Redmi Note 4 is a gorgeously designed successor to the widely\u00a0acclaimed Redmi Note 3, which became the highest-shipped smartphone ever in the history\u00a0of India\u2019s online market in any given quarter according to IDC. Xiaomi announced today that\u00a0it has shipped over 3.6 million units of Redmi Note 3 in 2016 in India.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 4 sports a premium metal body with elegant anodized high-gloss aluminium\u00a0lines and a beautifully symmetric design. It is the first Redmi smartphone to feature 2.5D\u00a0curved glass on the front which, paired with tapered edges, makes the device extremely\u00a0comfortable to hold. In addition to the classic Dark Grey and Gold colours, Redmi Note 4\u00a0will also be available in Black \u2013 a sleek new matte black finish \u2013 which stands out, as much\u00a0as it blends in.<\/p>\n<p>Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, Redmi Note 4 delivers fast and\u00a0seamless performance. Snapdragon 625 is the first chipset in its class to use 14nm FinFET\u00a0technology, which is substantially more power-efficient than processors based on 28nm\u00a0technology. As a result, Redmi Note 4&#8217;s 4100mAh battery lasts on average 25% longer than\u00a0Redmi Note 3. It also achieves unprecedented thermal performance, remaining comfortable\u00a0for use even under extremely demanding CPU tasks such as 3D gaming for extended time\u00a0periods. Snapdragon 625 supports PC-class graphics with the Qualcomm\u00ae Adreno\u2122 506\u00a0graphics processing unit (GPU), which allows for a great gaming experience.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 4 produces gorgeous pictures thanks to its 13MP CMOS camera with Phase\u00a0Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for faster focusing, f\/2.0 aperture, and a Backside Illuminated\u00a0(BSI) sensor with 1.12-micron pixels, which captures more light than its predecessor. A\u00a05MP, f\/2.0 aperture front facing camera on the front makes it great for selfies.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 4 offers an overall substantial photography upgrade to Redmi Note 3, which\u00a0enables users to take amazing photos and videos on the go, perfect for sharing outstanding\u00a0content on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 4 doubles the storage of its predecessor, offering 32GB of onboard storage in\u00a0the base model, and up to 64GB flash in the 4GB RAM variant \u2013 a first in the Indian sub-15k market \u2013 all of which are expandable up to 128GB via an SD card.<\/p>\n<p>Like its predecessor, Redmi Note 4 has been designed for full compatibility with India\u2019s LTE\u00a0cellular networks, including support for LTE Band 5 used for Voice over LTE (VoLTE),\u00a0which enables HD calls to be carried over 4G and is practically essential for making HD\u00a0calls when indoors.<\/p>\n<p>Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra said: \u201cWe are really thankful to everyone who made Redmi Note 3\u00a0one of the most popular devices in 2016.
