Are you one of them?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About this study<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In April 2016 Intel Security conducted a study about Security Diet.<\/li>\n<li>In multiple countries more than 15,000 people in the age of 21 to 54 participated in the study.<\/li>\n<li>This factsheet reflects the answers of 1,200 people in Singapore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Promotional links<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>54% of the people in Singapore between the age 21 and 54 have ever clicked on a promotional link (e.g. advert\/advertisement) that offers a diet program\/product\/tips\n<ul>\n<li>Young people within the age of 21 \u2013 30 are more likely to click on a promotional link (55%) than older people within the age of 51 \u2013 54 (40%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Of those that have not, another 39% say they would click on such a promotional link<\/li>\n<li>People say that the time that they would most likely click on a promotional link for a diet program\/product\/tips would be before your wedding (23%) or prior to a holiday (21%).\n<ul>\n<li>Another 20% say that they would be most likely to click on such a link before a formal event<\/li>\n<li>24% of the females would do so after a baby<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>44% says that they are more likely to click on a promotion link\/dietary tip article featuring or endorsed by a celebrity.<\/li>\n<li>Many say that they have ever clicked on a promotional link offering to lose weight (34%), or offering to get cashback (31%)\n<ul>\n<li>36% state that they have never clicked on such a link<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Most people stay up to date on the latest in weight, health, and body issues through online research (41%), social media (41%), health blogs or websites (38%), or magazines (31%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Promotional links that people are most likely to click on are<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lose that belly fat \u2013 35%<\/li>\n<li>Diets that work \u2013 34%<\/li>\n<li>Juice cleanse \u2013 31%<\/li>\n<li>10 best ways to lose 10 pounds \u2013 28%<\/li>\n<li>6-pack abs \u2013 22%<\/li>\n<li>No sugar diet \u2013 20%<\/li>\n<li>Before\/after \u2013 how I lost 30 pounds in 30 days \u2013 18%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Security &amp; Trust<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 out of 4 of the people assume it\u2019s a genuine site if they see such a promotional link\n<ul>\n<li>46% say they wouldn\u2019t know whether the site was genuine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>People are most likely to trust and click on a promotional link for diet program\/product\/tips when it\u2019s on Facebook (51%),\u00a0 Google search (42%), \u00a0on a website (30%), or within an email (23%)<\/li>\n<li>The far majority of the people that click on such a link did consider that it could be spam\/malware (86%)<\/li>\n<li>23% has even purchased a service or product from a promotional link without knowing whether or not it\u2019s a secure site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Sharing information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>46% of the people do not know how to check if a website is secure before providing payment details or personal information<\/li>\n<li>Many people are willing to share personal information like email address (58%), age (39%) and full name (35%) with a website\/service\/company in hopes of reaching their goal weight\/dream body<\/li>\n<li>Few would also share home address (7%), credit\/debit card details (5%), or a photo in underwear\/bathing suit (e.g. before\/after shots) (2%)<\/li>\n<li>86% of the people say that they have never shared more than a normal photo online or via text\/email\/chat apps (e.g. WhatsApp)\n<ul>\n<li>8% shared an image in underwear\/bathing suit with head and 7% shared an image in underwear\/bathing suit without their head<\/li>\n<li>5% shared an image of their baked body without head, and 2% shared an image of their naked body with head<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The research was conducted between April 8<sup>th<\/sup> <\/em><em>\u00a0\u2013 April 21<sup>th<\/sup>, 2016 <\/em><em>by MSI via an online questionnaire to 1,200 people in the Singapore, age 21-54.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>[ad#img]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Will you shared an image in underwear\/bathing suit or an image of your naked body on WhatsApp?
