SINGAPORE, JULY 29, 2015<\/strong> \u2014<\/strong> LG Electronics (LG) continues to excite consumers with the launch of SUPER UHD TV models 55, 65UF860T and new UHD TV models 55, 65UF680T. LG UF860T model joins UF950T SUPER UHD TV series which was launched earlier this year. SUPER UHD TVs provide superior color enhancement, bring sophistication to the home and boasts convenience-enhancing smart functions.<\/p>\n

ULTRA HD TVs \u2013 Experience the True Power of 4K<\/strong><\/p>\n

The UF680T and UF860T deliver superior image quality with LG\u2019s True 4K Engine. True 4K Engine eliminates visual errors and can upscale lower-resolution content into near-4K quality. The models also boast the built-in 4K HEVC 60p decoder. The decoder allows these TVs to play 4K or UHD quality videos as intended thanks to its support of higher frame rates without the need for upscaling.<\/p>\n

Both the UF680T and UF860T range come equipped with 4K In-plane Switching (IPS). The 4K IPS provides consistent contrast, true-to-life colors and a wide viewing angle. Even in fast motion scenes, the quality remains superb \u2014consumers can watch action movies and sports events on these TVs with blur-free clarity.<\/p>\n

The Picture Mastering Indexes of the two TVs are noteworthy as well. \u00a0Picture Mastering Index (PMI) is the new standard for picture quality, and it is anchored on three factors: Digital Image Processor; Advanced LED Panel Technology; and Advanced BLU Technology. The UF680T has a PMI of 900. The 55UF860T\u2019s is 1700, while the 65UF860T\u2019s is a whopping 2200. Indeed, great clarity, color, and contrast are the hallmarks of the models.<\/p>\n

The UF860T impresses with its Super UHD capabilities buoyed by LG\u2019s ColorPrime technology. This technology magnifies the range of colors that can be displayed on screen, rendering a wider range of hues and shades, thereby creating greater image depth and realism.<\/p>\n
