Now, what about our Peace Index? What is our ranking amongst the 162 countries? Neither are we very bad in terms of the ranking. In 2015, Singapore has a ranking of 24 out of 162 countries. Not bad. However, based on the studies, it seems like countries are getting less peaceful especially for those in the &#8220;top&#8221; region.<\/p>\n<p>Europe scored better as compared with the rest of the World. Asian countries are not bad<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/watAHldDB9g?rel=0&amp;controls=0&amp;showinfo=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here are the 23 data that were analyzed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Perceptions of criminality<\/li>\n<li>Security officers &amp; police<\/li>\n<li>Homicide<\/li>\n<li>Incarceration<\/li>\n<li>Access to weapons<\/li>\n<li>Intensity of internal conflict<\/li>\n<li>Violent demonstrations<\/li>\n<li>Violent crime<\/li>\n<li>Political instability<\/li>\n<li>Political terror<\/li>\n<li>Weapons imports<\/li>\n<li>Terrorism impact<\/li>\n<li>Deaths from internal conflict<\/li>\n<li>Internal conflicts fought<\/li>\n<li>Military expenditure<\/li>\n<li>Armed services personnel<\/li>\n<li>UN peacekeeping funding<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear and heavy weapons<\/li>\n<li>Weapons exports<\/li>\n<li>Displaced people<\/li>\n<li>Neighbouring countries relations<\/li>\n<li>External conflicts fought<\/li>\n<li>Deaths from external conflict<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And here are the top 10 most peaceful countries<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Iceland<\/li>\n<li>Denmark<\/li>\n<li>Austria<\/li>\n<li>New Zealand<\/li>\n<li>Switzerland<\/li>\n<li>Finland<\/li>\n<li>Canada<\/li>\n<li>Japan<\/li>\n<li>Australia<\/li>\n<li>Czech Republic<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The bottom of the list<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">153. North Korea<br \/>\n154. Pakistan<br \/>\n155. Democratic Republic of the Congo<br \/>\n156. Sudan<br \/>\n157. Somalia<br \/>\n158. Central African Republic<br \/>\n159. South Sudan<br \/>\n160. Afghanistan<br \/>\n161. Iraq<br \/>\n162. Syria<\/p>\n<p>Based on the way it was analyzed, countries that have less security people or weapons scored very well. Singapore scored &#8220;badly&#8221; when it comes to military and weapons.
