The warranty extension will\u00a0take effect from 1 June 2015.<\/p>\n This bold initiative challenges industry norms, and will see OPPO stand out from\u00a0market competitors. Their consumers will enjoy a 24-month warranty, extended from\u00a012 months. OPPO is the first and only brand locally to offer double the warranty\u00a0periods of other leading smartphone brands such as Apple, Samsung, and Sony.<\/p>\n OPPO\u2019s design and build quality confidence is a result of the brand\u2019s stringent\u00a0quality testing. The durability tests for the N3\u2019s swivel camera involve 100,000\u00a0rotations, or up to seven years of regular use, and both the R5 and N3 smartphones\u00a0are subjected to drop tests from twice the height of standard tests.<\/p>\n Said Sean Deng, Managing Director of OPPO Singapore, \u201cAt OPPO, we take pride\u00a0in giving the best to our consumers. The\u00a0warranty extension is another testament to that obsession.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to the overall warranty for smartphones, the one-for-one phone exchange\u00a0period for consumer has also been extended. Compared to the seven days industry\u00a0norm, OPPO\u2019s new warranty will allow consumers up to 30 days to perform\u00a0one-for-one exchanges.<\/p>\n The one-for-one exchange is valid for OPPO smartphones that suffer from hardware\u00a0malfunction due to manufacturing defects, and the applicable warranty period will be\u00a0based on the phone\u2019s original date of purchase.<\/p>\n The exchange does not cover hardware failure caused by physical damage such as\u00a0water damage, deliberate damage to the device\u2019s structure, damage caused by the\u00a0use of non-OPPO accessories, cosmetic damage, external accidents or fires.<\/p>\n Network, software system or ROM malfunctions, accessories-related damage, and\u00a0loss or damage of stored personal data are also not covered by the exchange policy.<\/p>\n However, OPPO is also offering a one-time free-of-charge repair service for phones\u00a0that have incurred accidental damage within the first year of the phone\u2019s purchase,\u00a0which is also a service currently exclusive to OPPO. Similar terms and conditions\u00a0also apply to the repair service, which exclude, among other factors, the free\u00a0replacement of parts for surface coatings designed to diminish over time, or\u00a0cosmetic damage due to normal aging of the product.<\/p>\n The new warranty policy only applies to OPPO\u2019s new range of products purchased\u00a0from 1 June 2015.<\/p>\n OPPO smartphones are available at the OPPO Concept Store in Suntec City Mall,\u00a0Singtel and M1 outlets, and other authorized retailers islandwide.
