With the viral effect of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Samsung did their own on their flagship model, Samsung GALAXY S5 (which is waterproof). However, I do understand that many people did the Ice Bucket Challenge without even wanting to know what ALS is.<\/p>\n<p>Some are saying that these viral videos are a waste of time but I don&#8217;t think so. Take for example, I do not know what is ALS before this Ice Bucket thingy. I may have heard before but it never register into my mind. After so many videos of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I started to become curious about it and try to understand it.<\/p>\n<p>Now, when you see or hear about ice bucket challenge, you will immediately associate it with ALS. I believe ALS has not been taken so seriously before this ice bucket challenge. So, in my opinion, it works.<\/p>\n<p>For the benefit of those reading this:<\/p>\n<h2>ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0(<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">ALS<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">)\u2014also referred to as\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">motor neurone disease<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0(<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">MND<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">),\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Charcot disease<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">, and, in the United States,\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\"><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Lou Gehrig\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lou_Gehrig\" target=\"_blank\">Lou Gehrig<\/a>&#8216;s disease<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u2014is a\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Neurodegeneration\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Neurodegeneration\" target=\"_blank\">neurodegenerative disease<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0with various causes. It is characterised by muscle\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Spasticity\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spasticity\">spasticity<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">, rapidly progressive weakness due to\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Muscle atrophy\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Muscle_atrophy\" target=\"_blank\">muscle atrophy<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">, difficulty in speaking (<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Dysarthria\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dysarthria\" target=\"_blank\">dysarthria<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">), swallowing (<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Dysphagia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dysphagia\" target=\"_blank\">dysphagia<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">), and breathing (<\/span><a style=\"color: #0b0080;\" title=\"Dyspnea\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dyspnea\" target=\"_blank\">dyspnea<\/a><span style=\"color: #252525;\">).
