BTW, they (Aaron Khoo, Elliot Tan and Janice Chiang) were previously from Wah! Banana and after they left, they set up Tree Potatoes. They are still my favorite. If you are Singaporean or have been in Singapore long enough, I am sure they will relate to you. For example, BCG. What is that? And what about Recorder? The brand is leading the way by shedding its iconic blue livery to turn a patriotic red and white. Going back to the basics of how we have come to adore the quirks and nuances of our uniquely Singaporean culture, Tiger Beer also collaborated with YouTube stars Tree Potatoes to produce a video titled \u201cYou Know You\u2019re Singaporean When..\u201d. With these initiatives, Tiger Beer will also be kick-starting a crowd-sourced movement to get Singaporeans to participate in 49 acts of pride over a period of seven days, from 1 to 7 August 2014.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSingapore is the birthplace of Tiger Beer, and since 1932, the brand has grown to become an intrinsic part of the Singapore identity. What better way then, to wear our pride on our cans and display where our roots truly are! This National Day, we would love to paint the town red and white with our fans and consumers, and encourage them to join the \u2018seven acts in seven days\u2019 movement to showcase their appreciation for the country in their own creative ways. This is the first time the brand has embarked on such an initiative, in a bid to walk the talk to unleash its pride as a home-grown beer that has gained recognition internationally. Currently standing as one of the top three YouTube channels in Singapore and one of the local representatives at the 2014 YouTube FanFest, the collaborative video \u201cYou Know You\u2019re Singaporean When\u2026\u201d garnered a remarkable 45,660 views within a day\u2019s posting \u2013 that\u2019s more than 1,900 views per hour \u2013 and nearly 200,000 views within a week!<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">49 Acts of Pride with Tiger Beer<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Having reskinned its livery to a proud red and white, and celebrating the little quirks that make us so uniquely Singaporean, Tiger Beer hands it over to Singaporeans to unleash their pride for the nation instead of remaining closeted patriots. From 1 August 2014, Tiger Beer will be kick-starting a crowd-sourced movement to get Singaporeans to participate in 49 acts of pride over a period of seven days, till 7 August 2014.<\/p>\n<p>To participate, fans should visit Tiger Beer\u2019s Facebook page (<a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/tigerbeersg\" target=\"_blank\">facebook.com\/tigerbeersg<\/a>) and follow the instructions to complete acts of pride ranging from posting pictures of their favourite local dishes,\u00a0 pairing Tiger Beer\u2019s limited-edition cans with Singapore\u2019s iconic landmarks, and even uploading videos of themselves shouting out their pride in the most creative ways. On completing each act, fans should submit their photos with the #UNCAGE hashtag, and featured acts may just win an invitation to Tiger Beer\u2019s exclusive National Day bash on 9th August!<\/p>\n<p>Running parallel to these 49 acts, Tiger is looking at courageous candidates who will rise to the challenge to dye their hair red or get a Singapore-inspired tattoo themselves, in tribute to their country.
