Singapore Hosts The World’s First Caf\u00e9-Hopping Event: Caf\u00e9 Fest<\/h1>\n
Experience the best Singapore’s caf\u00e9 culture and community has to Offer on 6 \u2014 7 September 2014 along the Waterfront Promenade<\/em><\/p>\n Singapore, 06 June<\/strong> \u2014 Catch a whiff of the exquisite scent of freshly roasted coffee beans and fresh-out-of-the-oven pastries from 12 homegrown cafes at the world’s first-ever caf\u00e9-centric event, Caf\u00e9 Fest, happening on 6\u2014 7 September by The Waterfront Promenade.<\/p>\n The two-day event is slated to provide over 4,000 caf\u00e9-hopping-lovers with a unique lifestyle experience by the bay that they’ll not soon forget.<\/p>\n Along With Instagram worthy coffee latte art and delectable sweet treats from specially selected Singaporean caf\u00e9s ike OZ Specia ty Cafe, Jimmy Monkey, I am, Maison Ikkoku, Cake Love, and Toby’s Estate, Caf\u00e9 Fest is also brewing up a whole host of excit ng activities to accompany your cuppa joe.<\/p>\n From 10am-8pm on Saturday and 10am-7pm on Sunday, weekend warriors and cafe-hoppers alike can look forward to live y performances from musical acts from bands such as 53A, Marc X Hashy, The Sessionists and many more. That’s not all, friends and families will also have a chance to pit their hopping skills against one another in an Old-fashioned coffee sack race along with many other fun games and activities.<\/p>\n The world’s first caf\u00e9-hopping street, was conceived by two public relations professionals and part-time cafe hobbyists, Gabriel Tan, 29 and Sarah Lek, 26, who share a pass’ on for cafe culture, coffee and the caf\u00e9 community.<\/p>\n “Each time we visited a caf\u00e9, we were always amazed by the enthusiasm Of cafe owners and the amount of effort they’ve put into their art. Their hard work has contributed to the emergence Of Singapore’s unique cafe culture, which has made its presence felt by locals and foreigners a like. We hope this event would bring people together through good food and coffee,” said the pair.<\/p>\n While admission is free-of-charge, festival visitors have to purchase caf\u00e9-hopping passes from the Caf\u00e9 Fest website (www.cafefest.sg<\/a>) and selected participating cafes to enjoy the wide variety of drinks and treats at the event. Passes are priced at $20 (early bird) and $30 (VIP Experience).<\/p>\n
