After a year since internet activist, Aaron Swartz<\/a> committed suicide, Anonymous decided to hack the MIT Cogeneration Project website<\/a> as a tribute to the programmer activist best known for his role in the win over SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), and who was involved with the development of RSS<\/a>\u00a0and Reddit<\/a>\u00a0(which he later became a partner). At the time of writing, the site is still not restored.<\/p>\n

Anonymous claimed the attack on their twitter that the Operation Last Resort, and this is not the first time<\/a> Anonymous managed to get into MIT’s servers to deface it in the name of Aaron Swartz.<\/p>\n

We decided to hack MIT again in 2014 on the anniversary with a second tribute to Aaron Swartz http:\/\/t.co\/x9PqTFosPv<\/a> #TheDayWefightback<\/a><\/p>\n
