In light of the recent attack<\/a> on games and websites, there seems to be another group that is targeting their attacks on Valve’s Steam<\/a> network.<\/p>\n

Twitter users, @chFtheCat<\/a> and @LARCENY_<\/a> have both tweeted claims of them being the ones behind the attacks on Steam network. As I’m a Steam user as well, I’ve experienced some disruption (random disconnections lasting about 15-30 mins) of a number of Steam services, namely the main Store page and parts of their community pages.<\/p>\n

Not sure if the pair is truly behind the attack, but one of them posted an image of an open source DDoS tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For those who don’t know, DDoS<\/a>\u00a0attacks will render a site unavailable to its users by means of flooding the servers with traffic until it’s temporarily unable to fulfil communication requests by users.<\/p>\n
