M1 launches Future Lab for App Development<\/h2>\n

Technology showcase kicks off with Ngee Ann Polytechnic app development competition<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0SINGAPORE, 30 October 2013 –<\/b> M1 Limited (M1) today announced the launch of its Future Lab for mobile applications.<\/p>\n

The Future Lab enables companies to experience innovative technologies such as cloud services, sensors, surveillance and fleet management, to better understand how they can tap on such tools to enhance productivity and business prospects.<\/p>\n

M1 is also collaborating with Ngee Ann Polytechnic to nurture students\u2019 interest in developing mobile applications and will make the Future Lab\u2018s full suite of tools and services available to its Electronic & Computer Engineering students. These include app hosting services as well as devices such as the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Note to test apps developed by the students. Additionally, M1 is also sponsoring prizes for Ngee Ann Polytechnic\u2019s first app development competition, the M1 Future Lab School Challenge, and will help to market the winning teams\u2019 apps to its ready base of corporate customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cM1 has always supported youth and children causes, and investing in their education is one of the best ways for us to demonstrate our commitment to them,\u201d said Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer of M1.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the M1 Future Lab, Ngee Ann Polytechnic students have all the necessary tools they need to tap on the fast-growing app economy1<\/sup> at their fingertips, for free,\u201d Mr Subramaniam added.<\/p>\n

The Future Lab is located at M1\u2019s Regional Operating Centre in Aljunied. It is open from 9am to 6pm on weekdays.<\/p>\n
