Thanks Sony for the invitation to Sony A7 series and Cyber-Shot RX10 media event held at Regent Hotel. During the event, we were introduced to the capabilities of the Sony A7 and A7R and also to the very versatile Cyber-Shot RX10.<\/p>\n

The event started with the key introduction of the Executives from Sony. Following that, we had Esther from Sony introducing us the Sony Cyber-Shot RX10<\/p>\n

Basically, I feel that the RX10 will be good for those who just start out in photography and need a all-in-one solution without compromising the quality. The RX10 has a 1-inch sensor (same as the prosumer RX100 II) and a very good zoom range from 24mm to 200mm (with aperture maintaining at F2.8 throughout). Basically, it has like having 3 types of lenses in one body: Macro, Portrait, Zoom.<\/p>\n

Next, Nathaniel gave us a more in-depth view of the main products: A7 and A7R.<\/p>\n

Basically, both have the similar specs (example: Latest Bionz processor) but the 7R is without the low pass filter. Nathaniel explained to us that Sony has put a lot of consideration in the two products. For example, for A7R without low pass filter, we might get more details but at the same time, moir\u00e9 effect might appear. Sony has put a lot of consideration to minimize it during the design phase.<\/p>\n

Do not think that because it is not a real DSLR (although it shapes like it), it has limitation when it comes to videography. You can also mount up the accessories needed for video production.<\/p>\n

This is one of the innovation put in the RX10 (picture below). It has a Click ON\/OFF slider for the aperture. It will be good for filming as you do not want the clicking sound of the aperture inside your video. Nice one, Sony.<\/p>\n

Sony A7 and A7R<\/h2>\n

Next, we proceed to the Sony A7 and A7R for more information about them.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights is that Sony incorporated an eye focus feature in it. So, when the featured is selected, it will specifically focus onto the eye of the subject. Very cool. BTW, the TV set below is a 4K resolution TV.<\/p>\n

And again, you can see the setup of the cameras for video production.<\/p>\n
