In just 24 hours, the BBM app has been downloaded over 10 million times on Android and iPhone combined. This is quite a feat for BlackBerry. Although BlackBerry had a rocky start (delayed in launching the app<\/a>), it still manages to attract people to download the BBM app.<\/p>\n

However, I am not sure if everyone will use the app or not. In my case, many of my friends are NOT on BBM. It might be because BlackBerry is limiting the invites to the app (yes, you can download the app but you will need an invite to activate it<\/a>). Anyway, most of the features on BBM can be found on other apps. I believe the back-end is the one that will shine through time. Most messaging apps suffer from delay. Hopefully, BlackBerry can avoid that.<\/p>\n
