Singapore 6 August 2013 <\/b>\u2013 SingTel has launched the first prepaid mobile plans in Singapore to allow users to surf the web and send email and instant messages to their heart’s content.<\/p>\n

With SingTel\u2019s WhatsApp plans<\/b>, prepaid users can enjoy worry-free usage of the popular instant messaging service, without incurring additional data charges[1]<\/a>. Available from as little as 50 cents per day, the plan makes it more affordable than ever for prepaid mobile subscribers to stay in touch with friends and family around the world.<\/p>\n

Mr Brian Acton, WhatsApp co-founder, said: \u201cWe are delighted to partner with SingTel to provide a great offering to our mutual users in Singapore. SingTel has also launched the Opera Mini<\/b> Surf & Mail plans, <\/b>which <\/b>enable SingTel prepaid users to surf as much as they wish via the Opera Mini web browser, from just $1 per day[2]<\/a>. Opera Mini can be used with both feature phones and smartphones, as well as iOS and Android tablets.\u00a0 It provides a simple and cost-effective way for prepaid users to find important information on-the-move and stay connected via social media.<\/p>\n
