<\/p>\nMicrosoft has posted details of the latest GDR2 update for Windows Phone 8. It is NOT a major update and I suspect most people will not notice any differences after the update.<\/p>\n

Truthfully speaking, I think Microsoft Windows Phone 8 update is too slow and the official apps roll out are too slow too. The only reason why I still cling on Windows Phone 8 is because of Nokia<\/a>.<\/p>\n In my opinion, Nokia has been fighting the war alone. If not for their innovation on the camera<\/a>, there is basically nothing to look forward to on Windows Phone 8 (except the stability). If you are a basic user, you might disagree with me. For me, I have always looked forward towards any Windows Phone, from Windows Phone 6 to 6.5 to 7.0. Finally, I decided that Microsoft is just too slow to deliver their promises, and also the apps are rolling out too slow. Enough of my ranting. Back to the update.<\/p>\n This update includes: –<\/p>\n Xbox Music. It’s now easier to select, download, and pin music. Plus, music fans will see more accurate metadata (such as song and album information) and many other performance improvements.<\/p>\n FM radio. Listen to FM radio right from the Music+Videos hub. (Not available for all phones.)<\/p>\n Data Sense. Stay on top of your phone’s data usage with Data Sense. You can set a limit based on your data plan, or just keep track of which apps use the most data. (Not all mobile operators offer Data Sense.)<\/p>\n Skype. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) apps like Lync and Skype now feature improved stability and performance.<\/p>\n Internet Explorer. Your web browsing experience is now better than ever with improved HTML 5 compatibility.<\/p>\n Camera. Set your favorite Lens so it opens automatically when you press the camera button. (Not available for all phones.)<\/p>\n Other improvements. Includes many other improvements to Windows Phone.<\/p>\n *Your update version number depends on your specific phone model and mobile operator.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Another major update might not even happen this year<\/a>. So, this might be the only update you will get this year.
