Its anti-virus databases are updated automatically upon Internet access or during synchronisation with a PC. This is to also ensure that the end user’s mobile device is never at risk of unknown malware, or if any, they are detected and deleted effectively,” Gun concluded.

The new Kaspersky Lab application, offering protection for smartphones, can be installed on all smartphones running Symbian OS 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 or Windows Mobile 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1.

Kaspersky Mobile Security version 8.0 is now available at selected IT shops in Singapore. You can also buy the product online at www.antivirus365.net/. For more information, visit www.kaspersky.com.sg.

Pricing and Availability

Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 is available for $33 at selected IT shops in Singapore or online at www.antivirus365.net/. For more information, visit www.kaspersky.com.sg.

About Kaspersky Lab

Kaspersky® Lab delivers the world’s most immediate protection against IT-security threats – including viruses, spyware, crimeware, hackers, phishing and spam. Kaspersky Lab products provide superior detection rates and the industry’s fastest outbreak-response time for home users, SMBs, large enterprises and mobile-computing users. Kaspersky Lab’s technology is also used worldwide inside the products and services of the industry’s leading IT-security solution providers on an OEM basis. Kaspersky Lab is headquartered in Moscow, Russia with Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia headquarters in Malaysia.

Learn more about Kaspersky Lab at www.kaspersky-sea.com and visit www.viruslist.com to view the latest news on antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-spam and other IT security issues and trends. You can also view the Top 100 Malware Threats by country across Southeast Asia at http://www.kaspersky-sea.com/top100/index.html.

To know more about Kaspersky latest news, events and activities, please join the Kaspersky Friends and Fan Klub at www.kklub.net.

[ad#boxlist]

Hi, all, attended Kaspersky event on the 25th August.
