Singapore 5 June 2013 <\/b>\u2013 SingTel customers will be the first in Singapore to get their hands on the world’s fastest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P2. This cutting-edge 4G smartphone is the first handset in the world to support mobile broadband connections with speeds of up to 150Mbps. (Please see Annex 1 for detailed handset specifications.)<\/p>\n
It will be available at the PC Show from 6 June with a subscription to a SingTel Flexi plan.<\/p>\n
Mr Johan Buse, SingTel\u2019s Vice President of Consumer Marketing, said: \u201cEarlier this year, SingTel set a new benchmark by boosting the maximum speeds of its 4G network from 75Mbps to 150Mbps. We are thrilled to introduce the first of the next generation of 4G handsets that can take full advantage of the higher speeds.\u00a0 Our customers can look forward to many more of such devices in the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n
All SingTel 4G customers will be able to enjoy the higher speeds at no extra charge with the Huawei Ascend P2 and future compatible handsets.<\/p>\n
\u201cConsumers are increasingly reliant on their mobile devices for information, entertainment, commerce and their lifestyle needs. With speeds of up to 150Mbps, they will be able to perform even more tasks on-the-move and enjoy a significantly faster and smoother experience,\u201d Mr Buse said.<\/p>\n
