Adobe Announces Launch of Enhanced Creative Cloud Options for Students and Teachers in Singapore <\/b><\/h2>\n

Adobe has made several major announcements for the education sector in Singapore.<\/p>\n

The full range of Adobe\u00ae Creative Cloud\u2122 options is now available in Singapore, including Creative Cloud Student Teacher Edition. For educational institutions, Creative Cloud for teams and Creative Cloud for enterprise options are now available through a new plan called Education Enterprise Agreement (EEA).<\/p>\n

Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription-based service that includes more than 30 tools and services enabling professional-grade content creation and delivery across print, web, mobile apps, video and photography.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdobe has expanded the range of tools and services available for students and teachers. Creative Cloud Student Teacher Edition is available at special promotional pricing of SGD 26.00 per month until 25 June, 2013,\u201d said Vicky Skipp, Regional Director, Adobe South East Asia.<\/p>\n

Adobe has also announced a significant update to Creative Cloud. Available in June and packed with new features, Creative Cloud reimagines the creative process through a stunning set of Creative Cloud desktop applications (\u201cCC\u201d apps) including Adobe Photoshop\u00ae CC, InDesign\u00ae CC, Illustrator\u00ae CC, Dreamweaver\u00ae CC and Premiere\u00ae Pro CC. Adobe\u2019s desktop tools, previously known as Creative Suite (CS), are now branded CC to reflect that they are an integral part of Creative Cloud and sophisticated cross-device collaboration and publishing capabilities. Creative files can be stored, synced and shared, via Creative Cloud; and Behance, the world\u2019s leading online creative community.<\/p>\n

Adobe solutions are used extensively in schools and institutions across Singapore. In addition to helping students create projects, portfolios and resumes, the software is also used extensively by educators to help develop more engaging, rich-media curriculae, and to improve collaborative working skills among students.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a recent survey conducted across South East Asia, 58% of educators responded that they need more tools and training to help them promote creativity in the classroom,\u201d said Ms Skipp. \u201cNew features and updates will be released through Creative Cloud, enabling students and educators to keep up to date with the most leading-edge technology and features, with access to the latest tools for college and career success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adobe also announced that the company will focus its creative software development efforts on the Creative Cloud offering moving forward.\u00a0 While Adobe Creative Suite\u00ae 6 products will continue to be supported and available for purchase, the company has no plans for future releases of Creative Suite or other CS products.<\/p>\n

New Licensing Program for Education<\/b><\/p>\n

Adobe has also announced a significant new licensing option for primary, secondary, and higher education institutions.<\/p>\n

The Education Enterprise Agreement (EEA) program is an easy-to-manage, term-based licensing program that gives educational institutions access to the new CC apps.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis program helps give our institutional customers the creative tools they need to be more productive, foster creativity in teaching and learning, and help their students develop essential digital communication skills,\u201d said Ms Skipp. During the term of the license, the institution can access all the product features and updates released by Adobe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pricing and Availability <\/b><\/p>\n

Creative Cloud for individuals includes a membership for students and teachers, Creative Cloud Student Teacher Edition. It is available on the Adobe SEA store <\/a>at a special promotional price of SGD26.00 per month. The regular price is SGD39.00 per month.<\/p>\n

In addition to EEA, Creative Cloud for enterprises under an Enterprise Term Licensing Agreement (ETLA) provides the best coverage model for institution-wide access to Creative Cloud apps and services under an Enterprise Term Licensing Agreement (ETLA).<\/p>\n
