If you are one of those who are frustrated by the inaccuracy in the displayed timing of Bus Arrival at Bus Stops, good news is coming your way. LTA has recognized the problem and is now working with IBM Research to tweak the system to ensure accurate timing to be displayed.<\/p>\n

Currently, the system uses GPS systems on the buses to predict the timing. However, it does not take into consideration of the traffic conditions. Therefore, inaccuracy of up to 3 minutes occured.<\/p>\n

LTA is currently working with IBM Research to improve the system. At the same time, LTA is also launching a web portal for commuters to check the bus timing instantly.<\/p>\n
