The EOY Cosplay Festival will take place on Sunday, 9 December 2012, from 11am to 9pm at the Marina Barrage, with free admission to public.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Fresh voices at EOY 2012 Jpop Live!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Continuing the Cosplay Festival will be the EOY Jpop Live! concert featuring Japanese subculture talents: Haruna Luna, official model of internationallyacclaimed Japanese street fashion magazine KERA and voice behind \u201cOverfly\u201d, the ending theme song of anime Sword Art Online; Sayuri Sugawara, Japanese singer who has made ripples outside Japan for singing the theme song of popular video game, Final Fantasy XIII; and Danceroid, Japanese female net idols known for their dance interpretations to Japanese pop tunes. Danceroid was a popular hit among their Singapore fans during their first performance at EOY 2010. A real-life Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) concept will feature a game world environment where event attendees become \u201cplayers\u201d of the game.<\/p>\n<p>As \u201cplayers\u201d, participants will dress in character and assume the role of their favourite game, anime hero or heroine character, partaking in themed activity areas along Marina Barrage to complete various quest-like tasks, stop ninja attacks, unearth treasure, boost their energy levels at food and beverage booths, interact with cute meido ambassadors, and spend their \u201cgold\u201d at merchandise booths with the aim of increasing their \u201ccharacter experience levels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s edition promises to be the longest cosplay event in Singapore till date, boasting all-day activities and crowd favourites such as the Cosplay fashion runway and music performances by Lolita runway models and more than 40 local talents who will entertain cosplayers, event visitors and photographers alike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe EOY Cosplay Festival has grown over the years since its inaugural edition, reflecting a growing popularity of Japanese sub-cultures among the public, especially the youth demographics. Haruna Luna burst into the J-pop entertainment scene with her debut single \u201c<strong>\u7a7a\u306f\u9ad8\u304f\u98a8\u306f\u6b4c\u3046<\/strong> (Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau)\u201c, the ending theme song to the second season of anime, Fate\/Zero.<\/p>\n<p>She started her singing career in 2011 when she was shortlisted as a finalist for the fourth Anime Song Grand Prix of Japan. She also debuted her mini album, Give to You during that year, followed by Because You are 2nd single. Sayuri\u2019s single, Hard to Say I\u2019m Sorry was also sung on Fuji TV Drama. Sayuri went on to lend her voice to the theme song of Mystery Thursday TV Asahi, \u201cWoman of Kasoken\u201d, followed by a second mini album, Close to You, in December.<\/p>\n<p>Sayuri grew more famous in Japan through several singles and mini-albums, and made waves when she went onto her first radio programmes in January 2011, FM OSAKA E, and then Bay-fm radio. Following her multiple singles and albums, Sayuri also held performances including the \u201cChao! LIVE\u201d at Shibuya duo Music Exchange. The group was formed when they posted a video of themselves dancing to a Vocaloid song on the Nico Nico Community Group (Niconico), which was a popular video sharing website in Japan, ranked the 14th most visited website in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Today Ikura is the only founding member who remains and consist of members, Ikura (leader) (23 years old), Yuzuki (21 years old), Maam (23 years old), Motomiya Marie (21 years old), Yakko (7 years old), Manako (6 years old) and Satsuki.<\/p>\n<p>DANCEROID released three self-titled DVDs \u2013 one in 2009, and two in 2011. They also released a CD titled Danceroid: Official Sound Track in April 2011 and a compilation, Anime House Best Mix Featuring Dance Roid in November 2010.
