Kodak had upgraded their handheld camcorder with the introduction of Zi8. It is an improvement from their previous models like Zi6 or Zx1. And it has join the race with the rest of the competitors like Creative Vado HD or Flip Ultra HD. It comes in three colors, RED, BLUE and BLACK.<\/p>\n

Looking at the specs, I think there are a few things that is worth mentioning. It has image stabilizer, can upload to Youtube or Facebook, has Full HD (1920 x 1080), 2.5-inch screen, external Microphone Jack and has Macro (I love this function!).

If you are an avid videographer and do not wish to lug a big camcorder, this may be the next best thing to bring. However, since Kodak had pulled out of Singapore, I don’t think it will be sold here. However, if you do know where I can get it, please let me know. I would love to do a review on it!!<\/p>\n

In my opinion, this Kodak Zi8 seems to be an answer to those functions that others do not have. For example, as it is very light, the camera shake will be very evident. Kodak has managed to squeeze the image stabilizer into it. Another thing is the Macro function. It is very important if you like to take close ups (like me) and Kodak has incorporated it. Nice!<\/p>\n
