Saw this news on Straits Times. POPULAR Bookstore was compromised and hacked. The hackers was using the address to redirect them to their own website. I googled for the news from Websense and saw that it has in fact put up this information on 5th June 2009.<\/p>\n

According to Websense, it mentioned that the hackers add in a pop up malicious code to redirect the users to another website. See below screen shot.<\/p>\n

Update from Straits Times:-<\/p>\n

Popular’s marketing manager Lynn Lee on Monday confirmed the breach, and said it has since fixed the problem.<\/p>\n

‘No customer data has been lost,’ she said.<\/p>\n

Popular and the company that hosts its website in Hong Kong are both investigating the attack and will consider further legal action if it is able to identify the perpetrator.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
