Apple has released a Press Statement stating that a total of 5 million units of Apple iPhone 5<\/a> had been sold (inclusive of Pre-Order) during the first 3 days of sales, from 21st September 2012. Very impressive results, as usual.<\/p>\n

At the same time, more than 100 million iOS devices had been updated to iOS 6. Although Apple maps has been a problem, with over 200 new features on the new iOS 6, I am sure many will just update their devices (here is a way to get the maps back<\/a>).<\/p>\n

iPhone 5 First Weekend Sales Top Five Million<\/strong><\/h2>\n

CUPERTINO, California – 24 September 24, 2012<\/strong> – Apple\u00ae today announced it has sold over five million of its new iPhone\u00ae 5, just three days after its launch on 21 September, and more than 100 million iOS devices have been updated with iOS 6, the world\u2019s most advanced mobile operating system. iPhone 5 is available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK, and will be available in 22 more countries on 28 September and more than 100 countries by the end of the year. Demand for iPhone 5 exceeded the initial supply and while the majority of pre-orders have been shipped to customers, many are scheduled to be shipped in October.<\/p>\n

Pricing & Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n

iPhone 5 comes in either white & silver or black & slate, and is available in Singapore for a\u00a0suggested retail price of SGD$948 inc. GST for the 16GB model, SGD$1,088 inc. GST for the 32GB model and SGD$1,238 inc. GST for the 64GB model. iPhone 5 will be available from the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com\/sg<\/a>)\u00a0and select Apple Authorised Resellers. \u00a0iPhone 4S will also be available for a suggested retail price of SGD$788 inc. GST and iPhone 4\u00a0for a suggested retail price of SGD$588 inc.\u00a0GST.<\/p>\n
