The Verge<\/a> reported that Instagram is coming to Windows Phone 8.\u00a0 At the 53 secs of a Nokia promotional video, it shows a Live Tile (that seems to be an Instagram tile) showing information on comments and likes (“love” shape).<\/p>\n

Some have commented that it is a Vimeo live tile instead of Instagram. The Verge did 2 updates to confirm from their sources that Instagram is really coming (although the one in the picture might be a Vimeo app) and the Instagram app might NOT be from Instagram as Instagram is not putting resources onto it.<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong>: The app running in Nokia’s video could be Vimeo, but we have confirmed separately that Instagram is coming to Windows Phone.<\/p>\n

Update 2<\/strong>: We’re hearing from sources familiar with the situation that Instagram is not investing its own resources into the development of a potential Instagram app. This doesn’t rule out the app entirely. Microsoft built its own Twitter and Facebook apps, ones that the company regularly updates. Of course, Microsoft would require Instagram’s permission to publish images to the service, since only unofficial Instagram viewers currently exist outside of the company’s own apps without an explicit partnership.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, I really hope that Instagram can be on Windows Phone (7.8 or 8.0) in near future. Here is the video.<\/p>\n
