For the first time, Apple has listed out its suppliers. In an unprecedented move, Apple listed out its suppliers and instances of rights violations by some of them.<\/p>\n

\nAccording to Apple Supplier Responsibility 2012 Progress Report, there are 5 facilities with underage labor and there are 15 facilities that workers paid excessive recruitment fees to recruitment agencies.<\/p>\n

To me, this is definitely a great move towards transparency. As for the suppliers list, there are a total of 156 companies but it did not state the 2nd tier.<\/p>\n
