Remember the HTC Glass House Challenge that I posted a few weeks ago. Well, the event is just over (actually last weekend) and here are some pics and information from HTC.<\/p>\n

Spectacular \u2018HTC Glass House\u2019 showcase featured the all-new HTC Desire S & presents \u201cAll I Need Is My Desire\u201d Ultimate Challenge <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>SINGAPORE \u2013 18 April 2011 \u2013<\/strong> HTC delighted weekend shoppers and thrill-seekers with its interactive double feature – a 3-day Desire themed roadshow and headliner, the ‘All I Need Is My Desire!’ Glass House Challenge, both held at VivoCity\u2019s Central Court B atrium on 15th<\/sup> to 17th<\/sup> of April. The events coincided with the crowning of the launch of HTC\u2019s latest flagship Android smartphone \u2013 the HTC Desire S*, showcased for the very first time in Singapore.<\/p>\n

Spectacularly housed under the elaborately erected HTC Glass House, HTC\u2019s Desire-themed roadshow featured the popular Android-powered smartphone series comprised of the award-winning HTC Desire,\u00a0 HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire Z, as well as new-kid-on-the-block, the HTC Desire S. Friendly HTC staff provided on-site support throughout with step-by-step demonstrations and attended to queries from the public. Also on show were interactive demonstrations of the premium \u2018HTCSense.com\u2019 experience as well as 91.3FM deejays engaging the public with activity updates and happenings via roving broadcasts. A series of interactive games and activities open members of the public also saw jubilant shoppers walking away with fantastic prizes ranging from complimentary Golden Village movie passes, vouchers from THEFACESHOP, F&N product hampers as well as Subaru Gift hampers.<\/p>\n

The ‘All I Need Is My Desire!’ Glass House Challenge saw 20 contestants from all of walks life come together to vie for the coveted title of the ultimate Desire challenge winner. The reality-TV inspired contest open to the public saw an overwhelming 300 entries submitted since the contest micro site went live on Friday, April 1st<\/sup>. On ‘house arrest’ for most of the 3-day duration, the challengers took on a series of tasks that tested their tech-savvyness, social media know-how and overall resourcefulness with only the aid of a HTC Desire series smartphone. One of the high points of the challenge also saw contestants take to the roads ‘Amazing Race’ style, navigating across the island on vehicles sponsored by Motor Image, official distributor for Subaru in Singapore.<\/p>\n

An elated Mr. Calvin Wai emerged as the ‘All I Need Is My Desire!’ Glass House Challenge winner when he\/she accumulated the most points at the end of the 3-day challenge. The 28 year old Engineer walked away with a cool SGD$5,000 in cash as well as a brand new HTC Desire S, courtesy of HTC. The 1st<\/sup> runner-up & 2nd<\/sup> runner-up also walked away with SGD$3,000 & SGD$1,000 cash prize respectively and a HTC Desire S each. Other contestants were awarded consolation prizes that included cash, HTC Desire S smartphones, HTC vouchers as well as digital cameras & photo printers from Canon.<\/p>\n
