On 1st April, I did a post on Google April Fools’ Day pranks<\/a> and I added +1 button to it, thinking that it might just be a prank. However, after 2 days and checking out the information, I realized that +1<\/a> button is an experiment by Google and it is NOT a prank.<\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, +1 button is an experiment. You will need to opt in for it to appear.<\/p>\n

To me, +1 is like a Facebook “Like” button. If you “like” something, you friends may want to check them out. Likewise, if you +1 something, it serves the same purpose, to tell your friends what you like.<\/p>\n

However, I believe it will only work with Google.com at this moment. If you are at e.g. Google.com.sg, the +1 option will NOT appear. You will need to go to Google.com.<\/p>\n

And after you +1 something, it will appear on your profile page (BTW, you need to sign in to Google to use the +1 button).<\/p>\n

To see if this experiment work, more people must know about it and I guess Google should release it to more countries’ Google search page.<\/p>\n
