Nikon has released a slew of new products. One of them that caught my eyes is the Nikon Coolpix 500. It has 36 times zoom. A rare for a prosumer camera.<\/p>\n

I think to use the 36x zoom, you will need a tripod. Anyway, I think it is good for traveling use. Here is an excerpt from the Press Release.<\/p>\n

When filming in Full (1080p) HD with stereo sound, not only are the optical zoom and autofocus functions available, but you can also capture a photo at any time. Giving even more options, the COOLPIX P500 can film in slow or fast motion using recording speeds of up to 240fps (QVGA). What’s more, a built-in HDMI connector with HDMI-CEC support enables you to link the P500 directly to an HD-enabled TV, and view your photos and films with family and friends.<\/p>\n

The tiltable LCD monitor will help you discover your creative side, making it easy to take shots from above or below and immortalize scenes that are just are you remember them.
