SINGAPORE, 25 November 2010<\/strong> \u2013 BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia – the unique international trade exhibition and conference staged in Singapore – looks set for a major success next year as it completes plans to relocate to the city’s vibrant financial and hotel district. The joint events bring together digital media and infocomm technologies, providing the largest and most established business networking platform for the broadcasting, media and ICT industries anywhere in Asia.<\/p>\n As the sharing of industry knowledge and technical know-how becomes an increasingly important component of international trade events, the greater number and variety of conference rooms at the two downtown venues allows for the growth of BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia exhibitions and conferences, associated forums and workshops held alongside the event.\u00a0 The availability of purpose built conference facilities became a decisive factor in the relocation of these iconic global events.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have received strong support from the vast majority of participating international companies on this move.\u00a0 The ability to host all their activities in the respective venues makes it easier for exhibitors to offer a mix of hospitality and educational activities to their business partners,\u201d said Mr. Victor Wong, Project Director of Communication Events, Singapore Exhibition Services.\u00a0 \u201cThe new venues also make the events the ideal backdrop for business leaders, government officials and industry professionals from around the world to congregate for high level business networking and knowledge sharing meetings.\u201d<\/p>\n Convergent Technologies Showcases Just Minutes Apart<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Suntec Singapore and Marina Bay Sands are located, within a stone\u2019s throw of each other, in the easily accessible Marina Bay area.\u00a0 As BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia serve as regional launch pads for the newest products, solutions and technologies in broadcasting, media and ICT industries, visitors interested in attending both events to witness these exhibits firsthand may choose to use the shuttle service arranged by the show organisers for the purpose of facilitating seamless transport between the venues.<\/p>\n For added convenience, trade visitors will only have to register once at either event.\u00a0 Those who have registered and obtained their entry badges at BroadcastAsia will be able to enter CommunicAsia, and vice versa, simply by displaying their badges.<\/p>\n Events Driven by Evolution and Implementation of New Technologies <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The last edition of BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia saw the participation of over 55,000 industry visitors, conference speakers and delegates, exhibiting staff and members of the media.\u00a0 International attendees made up more than half (56 per cent) of the total participation and arrived from over 100 countries and regions from all corners of the globe.\u00a0 The exhibitions, which featured about 2,000 exhibitors in 2010, serve as strategic platforms for companies to launch their breakthrough innovations to Asia and the world.<\/p>\n BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia are organised by Singapore Exhibition Services and hosted by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).<\/p>\n BroadcastAsia2011 will be held in Suntec Singapore, which was awarded the \u201cBest Convention and Exhibition Centre\u201d at the TTG Travel Awards 2009.<\/p>\n The brand new US$5.5 billion Marina Bay Sands Singapore will host CommunicAsia2011.<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Shows at a glance: <\/strong><\/p>\n CommunicAsia2011\/EnterpriseIT2011:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
