If you have upgraded your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to Android 2.1, good for you as I have heard many good comments on it. Now, Sony Ericsson has mentioned in their blog that they will be delivery pinch to zoom in Q1 next year.<\/p>\n

Although I guess not many people will need the pinch to zoom function, it is still good to have it since everyone with Android 2.0 and above already had it. SE further explained that the digitizer in the X10 is not “perfect”.<\/p>\n

I also want to be clear on what to expect from this feature. The digitizer in the X10 is not perfect when it comes to multi touch, there will as an example be situations like when the movement of the two fingers cross each other on the X- or Y-axis that could cause strange behavior. (There has been much online debating around what is \u201cgood\u201d and \u201cbad\u201d Multi Touch in competitor phones and this is following the same lines.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I guess SE has done well so far to explain to consumer to lower their expectation first. BTW, this digitizer problem is NOT new. You can download some multi-touch apps to test your unit (regardless of brand but of course Android 2.0 and above).<\/p>\n
