If you have not notice, Windows Phone 7 is officially launched. Singapore will get it today (12th October). Here is a line up of the handsets from various manufacturers during the launch.<\/p>\n

The Official makers during the launch are HTC, LG, Samsung and Dell. The showcase devices are Dell Venue Pro, HTC HD7, HTC Surround, LG Quantum, Samsung Focus.<\/p>\n

Microsoft has been planning this launch for a long time. To me, it might be their last burst to get into the competitive Smartphone market. I guess their strategy works well by limiting the handsets’ hardware and software configuration.<\/p>\n

It is interesting to see that the manufacturers are quite careful on their first Windows Phone 7 handsets. Many of them are just putting the minimum specs and nothing really spectacular.<\/p>\n

Based on my personal experience, the WP7 OS seems good and responsive. Hopefully, they can catch up on apps on Marketplace.<\/p>\n
