Sony NEX-VG10 has set new standard to camcorder. When it was announced in July 2010<\/a>, it has set many people thinking about camcorder. One of the reasons is it can actually use lenses from their Alpha DSLR range on it.<\/p>\n

My first impression is that it is very small. However, Sony NEX VG10 is not as small as their compact camcorder. The first 2 things that caught my eyes are the interchangeable E-mount and A-mount lenses and the Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone.<\/p>\n

In the picture above, it is using a zoom lens. It makes the whole camcorder bigger. The Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone is actually a selling point in this camcorder too. I believe currently, no brands in the market has added such microphone in their consumer range camcorder. Sony is first to do so.<\/p>\n

I love the zooming and autofocus. Very silent and fast (as compared to a DSLR which most of the time need manual focusing). And the unit itself is handy. The handle is useful for low angle shooting and it comes with a screen and optical viewfinder.<\/p>\n
