\n<\/strong>Singapore \u2013 10 August 2010 \u2013<\/strong> HTC pleasantly surprised unsuspecting revelers commuting on buses last weekend with exclusive hand outs in celebration of the Nation\u2019s 45th<\/sup> birthday. Lucky commuters enroute to various destinations across town were rewarded with exclusive HTC-designed NETS FlashPay cards* given out by local bloggers dressed to look the part of familiar historical icons of yesteryears – from the local hit TV drama series \u201cThe Little Nonya\u201d<\/em>, Singapore\u2019s founding father \u201cSir Thomas Stamford Raffles\u201d<\/em>, and not forgetting the admirable \u201cSamsui Women\u201d<\/em> of the 1920s \u2013 40s.<\/p>\nThe entourage embarked on their unprecedented journeys on Saturday, 7th<\/sup> August 2010 from 9:30AM to 4:00PM and again on Sunday, 8th<\/sup> August 2010, during the same time-slot.<\/p>\nThe iconic extravaganza took place across the island\u2019s popular shopping belts along Orchard Road & Bugis, with pit stops at bustling bus stops from Far East Plaza enroute to Plaza Singapura and Bugis Junction. The spectacle didn\u2019t end there as the iconic trio engaged passerbys with greetings and National Day well-wishes throughout the duration of each pit stop, as well as acceding to requests for photo-taking opportunities.<\/p>\n
The \u2018co-star\u2019 for the day was HTC\u2019s latest Android line-up in their repertoire, the HTC Wildfire. It stood alongside the renowned icons as a modern-day prop and accessory and made regular appearances during the bus rides and pit stops.<\/p>\n
