HTC is fast to announce that some of their Android phones will be getting Android 2.2 (Froyo) update in the beginning of Q3. I guess this is the start of a chain reaction to the rest of the Android phone makers since the announcement of Froyo update for Google Nexus One<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, if everything goes well, we will see a lot of HTC handsets with Froyo in Q3. BTW, has HTC Hero been updated to Android 2.1 already? Anyway, I think HTC is considered fast in terms of OS update. Some companies are still sticking to Android 1.6. I believe this is due to the deep integration of the UI into the OS. It will take a longer time to ensure that everything is working before release.<\/p>\n
