The month long campaign with IAC (Infocomm Accessibility Centre) has finally come to an end with the Tweet Meet at SMU park on Saturday (26th Jun 2010). The sky was kind to us with nice weather although the ground is still damp with the previous day of raining. To me, it might just be the beginning to spread the awareness of IAC to each and everyone of us.<\/p>\n

I love the venue. The lush greenery and people listening to the bands playing and singing and at the same time, having their picnic, makes the event warmer.<\/p>\n

In order for attendees to enjoy and soak into the atmosphere, each was given a goodies bag.<\/p>\n

I can see many people with disabilities in this event. There were also others who are curious and of course, enjoy the music and songs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, amid of these celebration, there is one strong message that IAC wish to bring across.<\/p>\n

“Know Somebody, Grow Somebody”<\/em><\/h1>\n

During the events, we were shown how people with disabilities overcome their fear with technology and manage to be able to use them to their advantage. For example, Twitter becomes a kind of expression for them. Skype makes it easy for them to see their friends and chatting is not restricted to a common place now. It can be done at their comfort of their home.<\/p>\n
