SingTel and Samsung launch Samsung <\/strong>GALAXY S with Korean pop sensation, Super Junior<\/strong><\/h2>\n

SingTel Group reinforces commitment to be a multimedia solutions company with the launch of the <\/em>GALAXY S that aims to transform customers’ multimedia experience on a phone.<\/em><\/p>\n

Singapore, 6 June 2010<\/strong> – SingTel held a press conference today to officially launch the Samsung GALAXY S, exclusive to SingTel at Marina Bay Sands. Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, Executive Vice President, Consumer Group, SingTel and Mr Sung-Hyun Moon, Managing Director, Samsung Asia were joined by Korean singing sensation Super Junior to launch the breakthrough Samsung GALAXY S.<\/p>\n

SingTel’s collaboration with Samsung to introduce this breakthrough device signifies its commitment to be a multimedia solutions company that brings the\u00a0latest device and best multimedia experience on a phone to customers.<\/p>\n

SingTel Group is the first operator in the world to introduce Samsung GALAXY S, starting with customers at SingTel, Singapore where sales started from 27 May through SingTel’s online shop. This is followed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Optus, and regional associates, AIS, Globe and Telkomsel, who are also the first to offer the smartphone\u00a0to customers in their respective countries.<\/p>\n

The Samsung GALAXY S innovative features, like the 4″ SUPER AMOLED screen which offers the brightest and clearest displays,\u00a0will transform a customer’s mobile entertainment experience. The phone features the latest Android V2.1 offering access to more than 50,000 applications on Android Market Place. Users\u00a0can also record and playback HD videos.<\/p>\n

SingTel has successfully integrated music and the latest entertainment content to its mobile offerings, hence offering a truly multimedia experience for customers. SingTel continues to offer customers innovative services and products like Samsung GALAXY S and AMPed as part of its strategy to transform the mobile and music scene in Singapore.<\/p>\n

Following the press conference, Super Junior thrilled an enthusiastic audience of over 2,000 guests at an inaugural showcase, including SingTel customers who had received a pair of tickets when they purchased the Samsung GALAXY S. Bonamana<\/em>, one of their newest tracks from their fourth album was among the songs performed at the showcase.<\/p>\n

Samsung GALAXY S users can use SingTel’s MobileTV and AMPed\u00a0services to enjoy interactive and exciting content including an exclusive video of the Super Junior\u00a0Galaxy showcase in Singapore via SingTel’s Mobile TV channel.<\/p>\n

The phone has received robust demand since its launch last weekend, and the demand continues to grow.<\/p>\n

The Samsung GALAXY S is available exclusively from SingTel, from $0 to $768 with contract (depending on the type of plan). The phone is not available without contract.<\/p>\n
