If you own an iPad and you like to watch Flash content, I don’t think Apple will make it happen. However, with Smokescreen plugin, it converts Flash to Javascript instantly, making those flash website viewable on an iPad.<\/p>\n

The good people who make the Smokescreen plugin is making it open source.\u00a0 That means that there might be a lot of new innovation in future.<\/p>\n

How it works?<\/p>\n

It runs entirely in the browser, reads in SWF binaries, unzips them (in native JS), extracts images and embedded audio and turns them in to base64 encoded data:uris, then stitches the vector graphics back together as animated SVG.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That means it might be heavy and slow for websites that are rich with flash. There are demos on the site itself. Watch the demo video on the site itself.<\/p>\n
