When I first get to know about ExoPC<\/a>, I wasn’t sure if it lives up to expectation (as with the other brand<\/a>). It has nice specs. It actually runs on Windows 7 which itself is a full OS. However, after watching the video, I am quite convinced that it might just be the iPad Killer.<\/p>\n

Previously, I was in high hope of the HP Slate<\/a>. Now, the project seems to have focused to other things<\/a>.\u00a0 In my opinion, for a Slate to be useful, it has to have high compatibility and ease of use.<\/p>\n

The iPad is good (I use it for a while and I must say that it is nice in terms of user experience). However, it cannot run other software or Flash-enabled sites. Even if it is an Android OS on a Slate device, it will suffer the same fate.<\/p>\n

Now, the ExoPC seems to have overcome all these. It is running on Windows 7, has 2 GB of RAM, 2 USB ports, 1 mini HDMI output, comes in 32 GB or 64 GB SSD, Card Reader, Webcam, Wifi 802.11 b\/g\/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and even accelerometer.<\/p>\n

It has its own ExoPC UI Layer and even an app store. The only thing that is missing, I think, is a GPS module.<\/p>\n

Engadget has a nice video on the hands on. I guess ExoPC needs to improve on the reflection of the screen. It is quite bad.<\/p>\n
