These Phones will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform

Qualcomm announced their latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform at Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020. Here are the companies that will officially use this chipset.

I am sure that many other companies will use the Snapdragon 888 chipset when it is launched. As of today, I received Press Releases from the two companies supporting it. They are OPPO and realme.

OPPO

OPPO has a more specific target. Their new product, the new OPPO Find X series will be launched in Q1 2021 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform.

Features of Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G

Here is an extract from Qualcomm Snapdragon Press Release.

Snapdragon 888 will triple down on the future of computational photography and transform smartphones into professional quality cameras. With the faster gigapixel speed Qualcomm Spectra™ ISP, users can capture photos and videos at 2.7 gigapixels per second or roughly 120 photos at 12MP resolution—up to 35% faster than the previous generation.

I tried to do a comparison among the Snapdragon mobile chipset. However, it seems that Qualcomm website is very slow and unresponsive. Thankfully, Android Authority has done a great job on explaining the Snapdragon 888. Click HERE to check it out.

Here is a comparison table made by Android Authority.

I am looking forward to touching a handset with the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. BTW, Qualcomm has adopted a very auspicious number, 888, for their latest chipset. In Chinese, 888 sounds like 发发发 which means make a fortune.
