Japan Transparent Toilets in the Park is Not What You Imagine

Do you dare to use a toilet fitted with transparent glass in the middle of a park? This is actually available in Tokyo, Japan. It is not what you imagine. Let me explain.

Don’t be shocked. Watch this video first.

Apparently, Japan wants people to dispel the Japanese stereotypes that public toilets are dirty smelly and scary.

With this project launched by a non-profit organisation and local government, they renovated 17 public washrooms in Shibuya.

If you have watched the video, you will know that once the door is locked, the glass will turn opaque and nobody can see what is inside. You can do whatever you need inside the restroom in privacy. The aim of this project is to let people inspect the toilet cleanliness first without stepping inside it.

I guess it also adds pressure to the person using it knowing that someone might be watching him get out of the glass toilet once he unlocked it.

What do you think? Yay or nay?>
