Here are the Ecosystem Products Announced by Xiaomi

Xiaomi has just launched a slew of ecosystem products. In a way, they looked familiar as some brands already have such products. However, Xiaomi excels from the competitors in terms of pricing.

Here are the featured products during their launch – Mi Smart Band 5; Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S; Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic; Mi TV Stick; Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34” and Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C.

I have featured them here (with specs) in terms of my own preferences.

Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic

Looking at the design, I am sure it looks familiar. What is interesting is that with all the features in it, the pricing is kept really low at 39.99 Euro. Xiaomi does not skim on features. It has all the bell and whistles of a premium product at an affordable pricing.

Smart band has become a very common item in our daily life. The latest Mi Smart Band 5 has a large, nice display and many added features compared to its predecessor. At 39.99 Euro, some might say that it is expensive. However, comparing to competitors, it is really affordable.

Mi TV Stick

This is a streaming powerhouse. At such a small size, it can transform a display (e.g. TV) to a streaming device. With the built-in Chromecast, you can play content from your mobile devices to a large screen. It comes with a remote controller with dedicated Netflix and Prime Audio button.

At 39.99 Euro, this is not a bad deal. BTW, it streams at 1080p and not 4K.

This is a love and hate product. With Singapore clamping down on PMDs and only restricting them to PCN (Park Connectors), this Mi Electric Scooter might not be of interest right now in Singapore.

I love the specs and the details in safety. At 499 Euro, it is at a good price range. There is also a lower-end version, Mi Electric Scooter 1S, at 399 Euro. You can read about it in the Press Release.

SINGAPORE, July 15, 2020 –Xiaomi today announced the brand new additions to their IoT-connected smart hardware range. The products launched includes a brand new addition to Xiaomi’s popular smart band lineup, Mi Smart Band 5; Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S; Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic; its first-ever Mi TV Stick; and Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34”.

The global online launch also included the presentation of Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C.

Mi Smart Band 5

Revamped with a 1.1’’ high-resolution AMOLED display, Mi Smart Band 5 is made more convenient and stylish than ever before. Offering extra viewing space, Mi Smart Band 5 not only displays more real-time stats, but also allows users to personalize the band display with more than 65 theme options and customizable function modules. With an optimized PPG sensor, Mi Smart Band 5 now features more accurate heart rate tracking for 11 exercise types, including rowing, yoga, elliptical, jump rope and more. It also comes with a list of new features, spanning stress level detection, breathing exercises, female health tracking, PAI health matrix, and more. Charging the device is also made simpler with a new magnetic charger that snaps easily onto the back of the band, eliminating the need to remove the strap to charge. Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and Mi Electric Scooter 1S

Built for every short commutes, Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 can reach speeds of 25 km/h and cover distances of up to 45km on a single charge.² Its 300W brushless DC motor provides the power to effortlessly climb 20% incline slopes, while a built-in LCD allows riders to monitor real-time speed, riding modes, battery level, and more at a glance.
