JBL successfully leverages partnership with Shopee to further strengthen online presence and boost sales during the year-end online shopping season
SINGAPORE, 20 NOVEMBER 2019 — World-renowned audio brand JBL delivered a record-breaking 11.11 performance on Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Leveraging its partnership with Shopee in Singapore, JBL strengthened its online presence through the platform’s emphasis on delivering a mobile-first, highly-localized, and social shopping experience. As the year-end online shopping season comes to a close, JBL and Shopee strengthen their partnership and develop plans for growing customer demand in the lead-up to the holidays and beyond.
On the Shopee 11.11 Big Sale (11 November), JBL saw an 87x uplift in orders compared to its average daily orders. Mobile & Gadgets emerged as the top-performing category on Shopee with JBL surging ahead as the most popular brand in that category. Sales of the JBL Free X Truly Wireless In-Ear Headphones saw around 100x uplift compared to a usual day, and was one of the top products sold on 11 November. Other top-selling products from JBL include the JBL Tune 120TWS True Wireless In-Ear Headphones and the JBL Flip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker.
JBL and Shopee are currently in the process of preparing their 2020 Annual Joint Business Plan, where both parties will come together to set targets and plan milestones for the upcoming year.
The planning phase will see both Shopee and JBL developing approaches around exclusive launches and offline activations.
